Dear Incarcerated Population,
Society-First would like to present our vision to the inmate population as we are an organization that seeks to bring true reform to the world around us, including the incarcerated. Unlike many of the other reform advocates, Society-First's primary focus is identifying the reforms that will put society first.
We do believe that almost everyone who strives to amend for wrongs they once committed deserves an opportunity to find such redemption. Though we put society first this does not mean we put the incarcerated last. It is our belief that our system is broken, and the need for progressive reform is without question.
A Letter from the Daughter of an Incarcerated Father
My name is Ashley, I am 33 years old and my father has been incarcerated approximately since my birth. I'm not even sure how to begin describing what it's been like and how it's affected me. It's been a confusing life, filled with questions, doubts, and uncertainties with a huge, unfillable void and many false hopes and dreams. One of the deeper struggles I've experienced living with my father's situation is the question of "good" and "bad".
