The mission of Society First is the promotion of a system that focuses on preventing future victimization rather than a system based on punishment. We believe that this new focus is possible and will end mass incarceration in America.

It is Society-First’s goal to help our state become the leader in society's development once again by putting an end to a punitive culture that has destroyed everything we hold dear. We look forward to walking this new path with all those who want to take an active part in changing what has failed to put society first.

The Board of Directors and volunteers are a highly motivated group of community members. It is our belief that through offering redemption to our worst we will organically propel them to their very best. A vital part of our values is giving the chance to those who once harmed in our society, the opportunity to now help our society. These individuals have firsthand experience of the regression of being lost and understand wholeheartedly the adverse effects of criminality.

The vision of Society-First is to provide a platform for all of society, which includes formerly incarcerated people. By giving a voice to previously incarcerated people who accept responsibility and accountability, real change can occur. It is in this voice that SF will develop new innovative ways that give redemption to those who truly have learned from their mistakes, while also keeping our communities the safest they have ever been. Through positive intervention, the majority of those who re-enter society will have positive impacts on their communities.

Currently we are in need of an assistant to our President & Cofounder with administrative, networking and event planning skills.
